My Grandma was always great about sending cards. Birthday cards, Holiday cards, ‘Just Because’ cards and ESPECIALLY Thank You cards! When’s the last time you received a hand-written card let alone a Thank You card?! If there’s one thing I learned from my Grandma, it’s the power of a hand-written card. 😊

Dust off your Thank You cards!

I know Thanksgiving is here and, yes, that’s what prompted this topic, but there’s nothing that prevents us from telling others how much we appreciate them the old school way! Here’s the thing. I’m not telling you to do anything that I’m not already doing myself. Like my Grandma, I’m a card collector and I have a stash of cards (including Thank You cards) to send when the mood strikes me. If I have the thought to send one and that thought keeps nagging at me, I grab a card and send it. Easy. Just this week, I sent 3 of them to folks that I wanted to say, ‘Hey! You rock for that thing you did, and I just wanted you to know!’ So, dust off your Thank You cards or go buy a pack at the Dollar Store. 😉

But what do I say?

A lot of us don’t pick up the pen and paper because we don’t know what to say or we think it needs to be eloquent. Maybe you think your handwriting sucks (I’m talking to YOU, Alan!) LOL! None of that stuff matters. What matters is you cared enough to take the time to write it and send it. Yep, it’s that simple. So, what DO you say? I gave you one example already, but you can just write something simple like, ‘You Rock!’ and drop it in the mail. You could say, ‘You’re the cat’s meow!’. Hahahaha! Maybe you need some more ideas? Trust Pizza Today

I can’t believe I actually found this little nugget on pizzatoday.com (https://www.pizzatoday.com/departments/back-office/power-thank/) when I typed in ‘emotions from a thank you card’ in Google. HA! ‘People like being appreciated for who they are and what they do. It costs you little but makes someone else happy. And making someone else happy will make you happy.’ That’s the bottom line, right? It doesn’t matter whether you are thinking about a family member, a friend, a co-worker or your boss – letting them know that they helped you in some way is an amazing feeling! It goes a long way for them AND for you. 😊 Plus, now you know there’s a website called pizzatoday.com and how thankful am I to have found that to share it with you! {lots of giggles on this end}

When’s the last time you wrote or received a Thank You note and how did it make you feel?

Let’s have a conversation, just you and me! You can schedule a time here. There is no cost. This is not a sales call masquerading as a strategy call. I just want to support you. The topic is up to you.
